Description
The Magnus Olesen Model 8000 dining chair was designed by Rud Thygesen and Johnny Sørensen and produced in Denmark. First introduced in 1981, the 8000 series became one of Magnus Olesen’s design icons.
Made from bent beech wood with a cobalt blue upholstered seat, the chair features an innovative screw- and dowel-free construction, making it lightweight, strong and flexible. The distinctive 45-degree leg construction supports the backrest directly, while the chairs are also stackable.
The chairs are in good condition considering their age. Four are available.
Vegetable Tanned Leather
Vegetable tanning is a traditional technique dating back thousands of years and makes use of natural tannins that occur in bark. It has no synthetic coatings, it is less processed and more natural.
We use full-grain vegetable tanned leather, the best grain and tanning combination available to ensure that our leather goods are not only resilient and have a beautiful natural appearance, but they will develop a rich patina over time.
All our leather goods are made with leather from Italian tannery Tempesti who have been producing high quality vegetable tanned leathers for more than 70 years.
